- Story Text: The biggest mosque in Chad -- and one of the biggest in Africa -- is currently under construction in the capital, N'Djamena.
It is the latest and most impressive evidence of growing co-operation between Chad and Saudi Arabia, which has flourished since the visit three years ago of the late King Faisal.
Saudi Arabia is completely financing the project, which will cost an estimated 3,000 million CFA francs.
The Mosque, with its two minarets, will also have accommodation for a library and two schools.
