- Story Text: Soccer player-turned-fashion designer David Beckham unveiled his new underwear range for Swedish retailer H&M in London on Wednesday (February 1).
Fans waited outside for hours in what was one of the coldest days of the year in the British capital.
The first collection of a long-term partenrship between Beckham and the low-cost clothing retailer sees nine underwear styles for men. Designed by Beckham's in-house team, the collection also features briefs, boxers, vests, T-shirts, pyjamas and long johns.
Beckham now goes head-to-head with his wife, singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham, in the style stakes.
Fans weighed in on who was the bigger fashion icon.
Nicole and Lauren were split.
"Him," said Lauren, while Nicole replied "Ooh, I don't know. No, no I'm a Spice Girl fan so."
"50-50, halfway. I like her. I do fashion so I follow her for fashion," said Leroy.
Beckham's good looks and chiseled body have made him a fitting poster boy for his own underwear range and it seemed that was the appeal for many fans to see him in person.
"He's still looking good for his age, definitely," said Nicole.
It's the latest collaboration between H&M and celebrities including Kylie Minogue and luxury designers Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, and Lanvin.
The collection will be available in 1800 H&M stores worldwide and online.
