- Story Text:Hindus across India celebrated Holi - the festival of colours on Friday (March 14) as they smear coloured powder at each other while dancing to upbeat songs.
In southern Tiruchirappalli, children were seen playing with water guns, a fun-filled attraction during Holi.
In eastern Kolkata, performing artists presented traditional dance performances to celebrate what they call 'Basanta Utsav' (festival of the spring season).
In western Mumbai, locals celebrated the festival by the Juhu sea beach.
In northern Mathura, devotee Chandrabhan Patel expressed his awe by saying that he was feeling very happy and amused and that he would visit Mathura's Holi next year as well.
