- Story Text: India's Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi on Thursday (March 13), dancing to the beat of drums and smearing each other with bright coloured powders.
The soldiers also ate sweets as they celebrated the festival with their colleagues, away from their families.
Deputy Inspector General of the BSF in Jaisalmer, Yogendra Singh Rathore, said the force was celebrating Holi together "while protecting the borders."
The festival of Holi heralds the beginning of spring and will be officially celebrated on March 14 this year.
