- Story Text: A swirl of tango dancers brought rhythm and devotion outside Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on Sunday (March 16) as a heartfelt tribute to Pope Francis who is recovering from recent treatment.
Performers danced to the soulful sound of accordion music, turning the square into a stage of prayer and motion. Among the crowd, red roses adorned clothing — a nod to the Pope’s Argentine roots and his well-known affection for tango.
For many, the performance was both a gesture of support and a spiritual offering. One dancer described the event as a way to send energy and love to the Pope through movement. An actor who joined the gathering said the experience deepened his sense of faith and human connection.
