- Story Text: Kryvyi Rih residents said on Wednesday (March 12) they don't think Moscow is willing cease fire after Russia launched a missile attack on the Ukrainian city.
“Peace talks are possible when not only one, but two sides have the will (to end the war). Unfortunately, we don’t see such a will from Russia’s side,” Yurii, a resident of damaged apartment block told Reuters.
A Russian missile attack on the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih killed a 47-year-old woman and wounded at least five other people, the regional governor said on Wednesday.
The attack also struck an infrastructure facility and caused a fire, Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Serhiy Lysak added in a statement on the Telegram messaging app.
Kryvyi Rih, Zelenskiy's home town, has been a frequent target since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine three years ago.
The overnight attack followed U.S.-Ukraine talks in Saudi Arabia where Kyiv said it was ready to support Washington's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia.
