  • Story Text: Arsenal women's team manager Renee Slegers said that her side has been waiting for their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid for a long time.
    Speaking on the eve (March 17) of the first leg in the Spanish capital, Slegers added that they won't underestimate their opponents and arrive “humble” for the task.
    The two sides both sit second in their respective leagues, with Real Madrid trailing Barcelona by seven points, and Arsenal eight behind Chelsea.
    In April, Arsenal and Real Madrid will also meet each other in the men’s competition at the quarter-final stage.
