- Story Text:Concacaf Nations League title favorites teams USA and Mexico kicked off their road to the final on Wednesday (March 19) on the eve of the tournament's semifinal matches.
Before the prospect of another rematch in the final, both teams must first win their respective matches against Panama and Canada on Thursday (March 20).
Team USA captain Christian Pulisic said that despite the lack of training, the team is confident coming off last year's championship and knows it will be a tough match-up against a scrappy Panama team that defeated USA at last year’s Copa America tournament.
On the other side, Mexico is looking for their first Nations League hardware after losing to Team USA last year. Mexico will face a defensive-minded Canadian side that has given the “tri-color” headaches in previous matches.
Mexican forward Alexis Vega said the team will need a perfect game in order to propel the team to the final.
