- Story Text: In a colorful center in Libya’s Tripoli, children climb a jungle gym made out of recycled material.
The center itself, Lamma Center, is also made up of repurposed material like scrap metal, discarded steel, and remaining parts of tanks that were used during the war, the project's manager, Loay Burwais said.
Established in 2024, the centre offers activities such as music, handicrafts and French.
Set-up as a space which offers extra curricular activities and a cafe where families can come together, Burwais who is also behind the idea of the project, said the aim of the center is to teach children to innovate.
“We need to develop minds that think differently, innovate, create, and solve problems on their own,” he added.
