- Story Text:Maharashtra State Chief Devendra Fadnavis on Monday (March 24) said Indian stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra should apologise for his 'disrespectful' joke on Deputy chief minister, Eknath Shinde.
Workers of Maharashtra's regional party, 'Shiv Sena', vandalised a hotel in Mumbai on Sunday (March 23) after Kamra called Shinde 'a traitor' during his show, for creating a breakaway faction of the party in 2022.
At least 11 workers of Shinde's Shiv Sena, including leader Rahool Kanal, were arrested by Mumbai police for vandalising the hotel, local media reports said.
Fadnavis called his remarks defamatory and said the government will be taking legal action against the comedian. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
