- Story Text: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday (March 24) that a portrait sent to President Trump by President Putin was a "personal gift".
Peskov said he would not provide any more information unless Putin decided to.
There have been no publicly available images of the portrait itself.
The phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump was 'a step towards a face-to-face meeting,' Peskov said in an interview released on Sunday (March 23).
Peskov did not confirm or deny that there could have been more phone calls between Trump and Putin than reported. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
