- Story Text: Relentlessly bombed since the start of of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, 68-year old Kharkiv resident Lyubov Chyrkova voiced anger on Wednesday (March 26) over housing and healthcare facilities being struck after Ukraine and Russia reached a deal on pausing attacks on sea and energy targets.
Others in Ukraine's second largest city, 30 kilometres (19 miles) from the Russian border, voiced doubt over the latest truce, with one resident calling it 'hot air'.
The United States reached separate deals on Tuesday (March 26) with Ukraine and Russia to pause their attacks over the Black Sea and against each other's energy targets, but it was not clear when and how the deals would come into force.
