French far-right leader Jordan Bardella, visited the site of Israel's Nova music festival on Wednesday (March 26), where hundreds were killed by the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7.
Bardella, president of the National Rally (RN), is visiting Israel for an Israeli government conference on anti-Semitism on Thursday (March 27), alongside Marion Marechal, an RN member of the European Parliament and niece of former party president, Marine Le Pen.
The attendance of Bardella and Marechal has drawn significant scrutiny in France, home to Europe’s largest Jewish population.
Speaking to media during his visit to festival site, Bardella said that despite criticism of his party, he believed that the National Rally was "a shield for our compatriots of the Jewish faith."
Bardella is also expected to visit the Netiv HaAsara Kibbutz, where 20 residents were slain by Hamas on October 7.
