- Story Text: Search and rescue operations continued with hope still alive at a collapsed building site in Bangkok on Monday (March 31), even as the search surpassed the critical 72-hour window for finding survivors.
Heavy machinery tore through layers of debris while rescue officials climbed over the rubble, scanning for any remaining signs of life.
Bodies covered in white sheets were carried out as the death toll continued to rise.
The massive quake, which struck Myanmar on Friday (March 28), has led to 13 confirmed deaths in Thailand, with 74 still missing as of 7.25 p.m. (1225 GMT), officials said.
In Myanmar around 2,000 deaths have been reported.
