- Story Text: Ukraine will work with the United States towards a mutually acceptable text of a minerals deal that the two countries can sign, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said on Tuesday (April 1).
Sybiha told a press conference that one round of consultations had already taken place on a new draft of the minerals deal and that an agreement providing for a strong American business presence in Ukraine would contribute to his country's security infrastructure.
Ukraine's foreign minister said that Russia has continued to damage energy facilities around Ukraine after a ceasefire on energy strikes was agreed at talks in Saudi Arabia.
On Tuesday, a Russian attack damaged an energy facility in the frontline city of Kherson, cutting power to 45,000 residents, Andrii Sybiha told journalists.
