- Story Text: A U.S. airline flight arrived on Friday (April 4) in Venezuela carrying 208 deported Venezuelan migrants, according to local officials.
This move is part of an agreement between Washington and Caracas, and follows two previous flights by state airline Conviasa that landed the day before.
Venezuelan Transport Minister Ramon Velasquez said that some passengers had criminal records, but did not offer additional details. He assured that all returnees would be treated humanely and their status would be verified upon arrival.
This marked the third flight in less than 24 hours to bring deported Venezuelans back to their homeland, taking the total to 719 individuals repatriated over two days.
