The Italian team 'Italia - Wings' was declared the official winner on March 28 of the first official Paris - Peking - Paris air rally. The rally began on February 28. Seventeen single and twin engined aircraft took part in the race. On the route from Paris pilots had to make stop-overs in Abu Dhabi and Dkaha. On the return leg mandatory stops were made in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bombay, Amman and Rome.
