- Story Text: Hundreds of South Koreans held a rally in central Seoul on Friday (January 13) demanding the government withdraw its plan to build a nuclear waste facility.
One protester held a placard which read "Nuclear means death.
No nuke." The protesters have held several rallies protesting against the government's decision to build a nuclear waste facility in the western island of Tokchok.
About 500 riot police were deployed at the rally to prevent the protesters, wearing headbands and white masks, from entering government premises in central Seoul.
