- Story Text: The two-day Jordan International Rally, the second round of the Middle East Rally championship, started on Thursday (May 15) in Amman.
Reigning eight-time Middle East Champion Mohammad Bin Sulayyem of the United Arab Emirates is hoping to win his record seventh Jordan rally title in his Ford Escort Cosworth.
On Friday (May 16) he was leading a field comprising drivers from the Middle East and Europe.
The championship includes rallies in the UAE, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar and Dubai.
