- Story Text: A residential five-storey building collapses in the Pakistani city of Karachi, killing at least five people and injuring six others.
A five-storey residential building collapsed in Pakistan's densely populated city of Karachi on Friday (July 31), killing at least five people and wounding six others, medical officials said.
The building located at a congested road in liyari town of Karachi, collapsed in the late hours of the day on Friday.
Rescue workers worked throughout the night and pulled out five bodies and rescued six injured from under the rubble.
More people were feared trapped.
The bodies of the dead and injured were moved to government hospitals.
"We have received 5 bodies and 6 injured of building since night," said medical officer Dr. Jagdesh.
