  • Story Text: A mysterious explosion damaged a building in the Israeli city of Netanya on Friday (July 15) injuring at least several people, a police spokesman said.
    Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the reason for the blast was unclear and that it caused the collapse of a wall in a restaurant in the city north of Tel Aviv.
    "Around the time of nine o'clock in the evening, our dispatch received a call about an explosion in a building in the industrial area of Netanya. The forces of Magen David Adom (paramedics), responded immediately to the scene with a large amount of intensive care units, medics and paramedics. On scene we treated eleven casualties," paramedic Eddie Varshlovski told Reuters.
    An Israeli television station, Channel 2, said an electrical short-circuit may have caused the incident.
