- Story Text: Libyan Prime Minister Abdurrahim El-Keib called on Turkish companies on Saturday (February 25) to return and finish their projects in Libya.
"We discussed a range of issues including Turkish investments in Libya. We hope that Turkish companies which were active in Libya will come back to our country. These returns can take place after setting up a joint committee to discuss this issue. This committee might examine the situation of the projects within laws and bilateral agreements," El-Keib said.
Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan also voiced hope that upcoming elections in Libya will be held on time.
"Libya is planning to hold its first elections for a constituent Assembly in June. I believe deeply that elections will be made in time, fair and transparent. We supported this transition process in Libya sincerely and we will continue supporting with all means from now on," he said.
