- Story Text: Fans from across Europe made their way into Baku's Crystal Hall on Saturday (May 26) to watch the grand finale of the 57th annual Eurovision Song Contest.
Crystal Hall, a state-of-the-art facility built earlier this year, was lit up in multi-coloured lights, and fans carried flags from various countries, cheering to support their musical group of choice.
"We are hoping for either Britain or Azerbaijan because we are living here and working here, but we are from Britain. But whatever - I think it's going to be a great night, whoever wins," one woman from Britain told Reuters.
A Russian fan said she would support contestants from her home country - the Buranovskiye Babushki, who will perform their song "Party for Everyone" in English.
"I will cheer for Russia - the song is also great, and my group of friends is also great," she said.
More fans were found in the Eurovision 2012 press centre - some of them dressed up in imitation of their country's musical groups, or wearing their national flags.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the Eurovison song contest by winning last year's event in Germany and sees the annual event watched by millions of television viewers as a chance to showcase the country - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
