- Story Text: Jennifer Aniston literally stopped traffic on Sunday (September 07) on the fourth day of the 33rd Annual Toronto Film Festival. The "Friends" star walked a red carpet at the debut of her film "Management," but not before being mobbed by hordes of fans screaming and shouting her name.
In "Management," Aniston plays an art dealer pursued by an oddball suitor, played by Steve Zahn. The romantic comedy follows the awkwardness that can result with relationships. Aniston, whose on personal relationships have headlined the tabloids, said it only takes a few simple things to make it work.
"Just, you know, being conscious, taking care of each other, patting each other's back."
This was the first year that Aniston took part in the Toronto festival, and in celebration fans lined up for hours at the Isabel Bader theater to welcome her. She said the people's enthusiasm for her was a bit of a surprise.
"I don't know, I've never been here before. I'm just so, I've got to say it, I'm honored. I'm just really happy to be here."
Also on the carpet was Aniston's co-star, Zahn. He said that despite being a romantic comedy, "Management" stands out from the pack - because he's in it.
"I guess if you're going to categorize it, it falls under a romantic comedy. You know, it's not a war picture. It's got to fall into some genre. But it's a little different. Number one, I'm the romantic lead, so it's got to be a little different, right?," said Zahn.
"Management" is an available movie for sale at the festival and it is expected to clock in as one of the fest's bigger sales thanks to Aniston's obvious star power. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
