- Story Text: They deny they're a couple, but one can't help but wonder about the relationship between Hollywood beauty Jennifer Aniston and her co-star, Gerard Butler.
The two stars frequently embraced one another on the red carpet on Tuesday (March 16) at the New York City premiere of their new movie 'The Bounty Hunter'. Both admit they get along like a house on fire - but neither are fessing up to any romantic involvement.
"We just really had a good, fortunate time, you know? We clicked. It was easy. There was no tension to kind of break through. We just kind of instantly, yeah, I like you, I like you," Aniston says.
Butler admits he's the envy of all his friends.
"Listen, I don't think I have to tell you what my friends said when I was working with Jen Aniston. I mean, people love her. They love her. She's sexy and beautiful and they hate me. My friends hate me, that I get to do that, and they don't," Butler says.
The pair have been the target of romance rumors from day one of shooting 'The Bounty Hunter', in which Butler plays a bounty hunter who is given the task of tracking down his reporter ex-wife, played by Aniston.
Director Andy Tennant says the couple had incredible chemistry both on, and off-set.
"They're grownups. They're single. They're gorgeous. They're funny. They're talented. They don't have a care in the world - you know, what else are you gonna do except hang out, flirt, have a good time, and make a movie together?," Tennant says.
Possible romance aside, there's no shortage of physical action in 'The Bounty Hunter', and Aniston does all her own stunts. The actress, who was handcuffed for many scenes, admits she would frequently come home with bumps and bruises, after shooting each day.
"Oh, I came home with, looking like a, like a pimp that had just beaten up his..you know.. well that's not a great analogy, but yeah, I was pretty wrecked," Aniston says.
Butler, who at one point in the movie crash-tackles Aniston, didn't escape unhurt, either.
"I was jumping up and down, onto roofs and off of roofs and onto cars, I was doing a lot of crazy stuff and that's when I picked up most of my injuries," Butler says.
Dozens of fans lined up to catch a glimpse of both stars, and were given 'The Bounty Hunter' t-shirts, and hand-cuffs. For Aniston, 41, being in the limelight is both a blessing, and a curse.
"As a human being it's of course, you love that people are appreciating what you do. Also it's, there's times you just want to walk down the street and sit at an outdoor cafe and you know, not be surrounded by a bunch of shutterbugs," Aniston says.
