They are a couple that are unhappy, over some tragic things that have happened in their life and they are unable to feel better, so that they adopt a child. Of course, that sort of is the seed thatup destroying everything." (SOUNDBITE) (English) VERA FARMIGA ON "ORPHANS," SAYING: "The script always draws me to the script. The character or the script, is the story and this one was really unique. I love the genre, if it is done smartly, intelligently and I actually care about the characters. That's rare, it's rare to encounter that in this type of genre and I did." (SOUNDBITE) (English) DIRECTOR JAUME COLLET-SERRA ON THE "When I read a script, I pretty much know what is going to happen by page 50. That is my job. In this one, it completely blew my mind and took me by surprise and I thought, if I was surprised than the audience will be surprised as well. That is why I jumped on board." (SOUNDBITE) (English) PRODUCER SUSAN DOWNEY AND HUSBAND ROBERT DOWNEY JR., ON TALKING "SHOP" AT HOME, SAYING: DOWNEY JR.: "There is no, sometimes we set boundaries, but talking shop to us is kind of like catnip. Since, anything can spin into anything else. But it is creative and we love having creative conversations and also it is very therapeutic, if you are in a stuck spot. From the beginning, "Orphans" seemed like something, since the story and the execution of the story was sound and fresh, you do not have a much to worry about. You are not just trying to make a good version of something that has been rehashed a dozen times." SUSAN DOWNEY "I've been excited about this one since the get go." (SOUNDBITE) (English) ISABELLE FUHRMAN ON NOT BEING SCARED WORKING ON THE FILM, SAYING: "Not at all. The movie was a lot of fun to film and it was not scary at all backstage. When I saw the film, it was just great and since I knew everything that happened behind the scenes it was not as scary for me." PULLOUT FROM POSTER TO ISABELLE FUHRMAN POSING ON THE BLACK CARPET
