- Story Text: The cold weather in Berlin couldn't cool the atmosphere as the hot actress Sharon Stone arrived to promote Basic Instinct: Risk Addiction on Wednesday (March 22).
Stone was attending the german premiere of the Basic Instinct part sequel, in which there are even more nude scenes than in its notorious original.
"Yeah, I think that it is a little bit more sophisticated and more layered, and a little bit more dangerous and scary. I think the movie is erotic in a different way, because I think it is more dangerous than the first one," she told Reuters TV on the red carpet.
The 48-year-old actress, who plays the sexy Catherine Tramell who is accused of murder and tries to seduce her way out it, says she has no problem doing a nude scene as long as it's right for the role.
She said it was pretty easy to be naked, if it's appropriate for the character she was playing or the mood of the piece, then it was no big thing. In fact she said she was even thinking about making a fitness video as everyone always asks how she manages to look so good all the time.
"Well you know, I am really asked a lot about staying fit and staying healthy and staying together, and I believe you have to do a little bit all the time, not a lot, nothing fanatical," she said. "But I am actually thinking about making some kind of tape, some kind of thing about that, because I get asked so much. I think it is just kind of a consistent way of doing a little over a regular period of time."
Stone is famously known for her "leg crossing" scene without underwear in 1992's Basic Instinct, which also starred Michael Douglas. She said said she was happy that she didn't try to lie about her age to get roles after she turned 40.
She thought the movie would have even more success than its predecessor.
"You know it's a great script and great people and I really enjoyed working with the producer before and we have a good friendship and I thought that it would just be fun. It's a great pop-corn movie, it's a great thriller, it's kind of sexy and fun we were lucky that we had a nice success the last time and we're kind of hoping it will strike twice."
