She reminded me of my mom and my mom had passed away that year. A mother's love is such a powerful thing so instead of the sadness I was kind of overwhelmed with how much strength my mom found with her kids when she needed to because she was very shy. And as a mom it just made me hold on to my kids that much tighter at the end of every night and love em and be so grateful that I know where they are and that they're healthy." He is, you hear so many things about him, he's this icon, he's this great man, this gentleman and so strong...and he is. He's everything you hope for when you meet him. He's just gracious and smart and very decisive as a director so you feel in really great hands."

- Story Text: Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet at the New York Film Festival on Saturday (October 4) to promote her new Clint Eastwood film, "Changeling."
Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt posed for cameras, before he headed inside, saying "I'm off tonight."
In the 1920s era film, Jolie portrays Christine Collins, whose young son has been kidnapped . The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) answer her prayers and reunite her with her boy, but soon she suspects the boy returned to her is not her son at all. Collins tries to take on the authorities, but is painted as unfit.
"Changeling" is based on a true story that shook up the California legal system.
Asked how portraying Collins affected her as a mother, Jolie said, "as a mom it just made me hold on to my kids that much tighter at the end of every night and love em and be so grateful that I know where they are and that they're healthy."
Jolie says she often thought of her own mother while making the film, and admired her strength through difficult times.
Showing off her post-baby body in an Atelier Versace dress, the mother of six told reporters that she is breast feeding which helps keep the weight off.
Working with director Clint Eastwood, Jolie says "It was just the best."
"He's everything you hope for when you meet him. He's just gracious and smart and very decisive as a director so you feel in really great hands."
This trip marks the first time the whole Jolie-Pitt clan are back in the U.S. since the birth of twins Vivienne and Knox. While Jolie was tight-lipped about who she is backing in the next U.S. presidential election, the actress says she is reading up and watching closely as the election nears.
"Changeling" opened to positive reviews at the Cannes Film Festival, and there are already whispers of a possible Oscar nomination. The film opens in U.S. theaters on October 31st. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
