Summary:Three hundred and forty-seven passengers and crew of a Turkish Airlines DC-10 jetliner were killed when it crashed into a forest north of Paris in March. The aircraft was on a flight from Ankara to London when it smashed into the forest shortly after taking off from Paris on the last leg of its journey. At first, it was thought a bomb had caused the disaster, but experts later declared a faulty cargo door on the aircraft had been the cause.
