- Story Text: Actress Jennifer Aniston dodged questions about her reported new beau, the actor Justin Theroux, at the London premiere of her latest movie "Horrible Bosses" on Wednesday (July 20).
The Hollywood star, who shone in a white sparkly Valentino dress and Tom Ford shoes, arrived last to the premiere after her co-stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis and director Seth Gordon. But she was whisked through the press line by her publicist and especially past journalists who asked questions about her purported new love interest.
When asked about the rumours with her new co-star in the upcoming "Wanderlust", she replied: "Jason? Sudeikis?" referring to her fellow actor in "Horrible Bosses", adding "Oh that rumour was cleared up long ago."
Aniston plays a sex-mad dentist trying to bed her newly engaged dental assistant, played by Charlie Day of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" fame. The role is a departure from her good girl image and she said it was one of the best characters she's ever portrayed.
"It was so fun. It doesn't come along very often to be crazy and with total freedom and be as bad as you want to be," she told reporters.
In the movie, Bateman, Day and Sudeikis play three average Americans being bullied by their bosses who want to move up the ladder but can't. Its big-name supporting cast includes Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey and Colin Farrell.
Bateman who's starred in a number of hugely successful comedic roles in the Noughties including "Juno" said his transformation from teenage heartthrob to in-demand actor is thanks to the Emmy-award winning television series "Arrested Development".
"I suppose you have to give a lot of credit to Arrested Development and I'm just trying to stay employed," he told Reuters. A movie version of the now defunct tv show, starring Bateman, is set for release in 2012.
Actor Charlie Day admitted to having a few not-so-nice managers in his day and said if he was confronted with such overbearing behaviour again, he would retaliate.
"I'd look him right in the face and I'd start to speak and punch him straight in the nose and that would set things straight," he said.
Day, who will work with Mexican filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro ("Pan's Labyrinth", "Hellboy", "Hellboy 2") in the sci-fi adventure "Pacific Rim", said of the film: "All I can tell you is that it's a completely different type of film. It's a big monster movie it's going to be a lot of fun." The movie is currently in pre-production and scheduled for release in 2013.
"Saturday Night Live" actor and master impersonator Jason Sudeikis said he was enjoying working on movies at the moment, although is also anxious to return to the tv show.
"Maybe at this point films just because it's a newer type of work. It's probably more alluring at this point. They're both so different, so wonderful that once I'm away from one, I miss the other one. Now that I'm away from SNL, I miss that and look forward to returning in the Fall," he said.
Sudeikis is set to play a comedic version of Batman in "Movie 43" of which he said he did not have to work out for.
""No, I didn't even have to shave for it. I have like scruff in it," he said.
"Horrible Bosses" has scored 63 million U.S. dollars, according to online movie revenue site boxofficemojo, with a budget of 35 million USD.
The film's director said the movie has touched a nerve with Americans and will do with the rest of the world because of the tough economic times nearly across the globe.
"I think there's a couple things. I think everyone wants to laugh and laugh hard that's a big thing. It's ultimately a story about being stuck in a hard economy, right, and being without options and you can't get out of the job you're in and you can't give it up. And it resonates with a lot of people right now," he said.
Gordon also said he wanted to work with the 14-year-old standout talent in "Kick-Ass" Chloe Moretz. The two are in talks to work together on a as-of-yet unconfirmed movie.
"She's awesome, she's a very talented young actress. There's a film called 'Mixtape' which I'd like to make. We heard recently there might be some financing for that, so we're excited."
