My head didn't even hit the ground. It was like a really intense thing and we got it on tape -- it's amazing. You know, he keeps your spirit up. Makes you laugh, even though you're freezing, and it's three a.m. and you're on the beach and you just want to go home and cry. He keeps your spirits up." I just think that maybe some point people can go too far, and so we might be touching on that."

- Story Text: Singer-turned-action star Justin Timberlake joins co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy in London on Monday (October 31) for the UK premiere of the new sci-fi action film, "In Time".
Also co-starring Olivia Wilde, the story is set in a parallel future, where time is literally money, and the aging process stops at 25 years old when the built-in body clock starts counting down.
The only way to stay alive is to earn, steal, or inherit more time.
Will Salas (Timberlake) lives minute-to-minute, until a windfall of time from a time-rich source who wants to die gives him access to the world of the wealthy, where time can stand still.
He teams up with beautiful young heiress to a time loan fortune, Sylvia Weis (Seyfried), to destroy the corrupt system that has taken his loved ones, but not before Timekeeper Raymond Leon (Murphy), a cop, tries to stop their campaign to redistribute the wealth.
Timberlake told Reuters Television what he thought of the film's concept of time being the currency as a future reality.
"I think it's an intriguing concept for a movie," he laughs.
"I don't know if it would work in real life. But I think the best sci-fi films have a way of taking other-worldly concepts and using it too kind of throws some metaphors at us, which this film does."
Timberlake's character Will is the hero of the story, living in the poorest region, or time zone called Dayton, where he rarely has more than 24 hours on the clock, and must work every day to afford another.
As Justin himself has hardly taken a day off since he started his career, aged 12, and did not have a conventional childhood either, the singer-turned actor said he empathised with his character:
"This was the first character that I got to play that I really actually admire a lot," Timberlake said.
"I think he's brave and I hope that I would be as brave if my back was against the wall. I hope I would come up swinging, like he does."
Murphy who plays Timekeeper Leon, a cop charged with keeping a system he knows is corrupt. Asked whether Leon secretly admires Salas and Weis's goal to destroy the system and redistribute the wealth (time), Murphy says "absolutely" as Leon comes from the same ghetto as the man he pursues, Will.
"It's a classic movie setup where, you know, like they're separated by the law but they both admire each other, or develop an admiration for each other," Murphy said.
Seyfried has another great admiration for Timberlake, after he saved her life on set during their fleeing scenes, and her running in six-inch YSL (Yves Saint Laurent) high heels.
"He was holding my hand. I fell, I fell really bad, like really hard, and I would have [been] completely screwed, I would have been messed up and he saved me. My head didn't even hit the ground. It was like a really intense thing and we got it on tape -- it's amazing," she said.
Working with Timberlake as her on-screen partner-in-crime, like a Bonnie and Clyde couple, also had other lovely benefits for Seyfried.
"You know, he keeps your spirit up. Makes you laugh, even though you're freezing, and it's three a.m. and you're on the beach and you just want to go home and cry. He keeps your spirits up," she said.
Seyfried suggests that the film deals with our obsession with youth, especially fitting, considering it is shot in Los Angeles, a place very concerned with keeping young looking.
The actress admits that she is not against having a little nip or tuck, but not just yet -- ask her in a few decades.
"I've consider a lot of things, like I want to have a nose job and, you know, fix my skin. I just think that maybe some point people can go too far, and so we might be touching on that," she said.
Timberlake as not only turned action hero, but also social networking entrepreneur - much like his "The Social Network" character, investor Sean Parker.
Technology investor Timberlake recently took a stake in the 35 million US Dollars purchase of Myspace from News Corp, and is expected to take a major role in the new direction of the ailing social media site.
Asked why he wanted to become a technology investor, he replied:
"In my conversations for it, it seemed like a really cool job to sit around and come up with ideas. I feel like that's what I do with my music and everything else so."
Writer-director Andrew Niccol ("Lord of War" and "Gattaca") was also on the red carpet on the night with his cast. He was greeted by good friend and guest Saoirse Ronan, "Hanna" and "The Lovely Bones" actress.
"In Time", that also co-stars Olivia Wilde as Timberlake's 'forever 25' onscreen mother, Rachel Salas, is showing in UK cinemas from November 1, and is in US theatres now. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
