You're just kind of trying to do something and...well something that I was interested in, I remember when I produced the first one, they were like, well, you know...I said this the first film I want to produce at Paramount and they're very supportive, but it didn't have, you know, the kind of confidence that I thought it would be very cool. I kind of told them look, if this works I'll make some more, you know, if we can figure it out. It's pretty exciting."

- Story Text: Tom Cruise suited up on Monday (December 19) for the New York premiere of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol", which will come at audiences in IMAX for those who can't wait to see the stuntman dangling off the world's tallest building in the fourth sequel to his popular franchise.
The 49-year-old actor didn't just try to save the world as Agent Ethan Hunt, he produced what he hopes to be the biggest mission yet.
"I remember when I produced the first one, they were like, well, you know...I said this the first film I want to produce at Paramount and they're very supportive, but it didn't have, you know, the kind of confidence that I thought it would be very cool," said Cruise of the original. "I kind of told them look, if this works I'll make some more, you know, if we can figure it out. It's pretty exciting."
The man that does all his own stuntwork admits there's yet to be a mission that he hasn't accepted.
"I haven't had any of those yet. They're designed around my ability and I'll train if I don't know how to do something, I'll train and we'll figure it out and if I feel like it's going to be cinematic and you know, we do everything we can and working with very, you know, the best of the best people, you know, Greg Smerz our stunt coordinator is amazing guy. I obviously trust with my life and we all work very very hard," Cruise told Reuters.
Cruise walked the carpet with actress and wife Katie Holmes. Together the Hollywood power couple have a daughter, Suri.
When asked if a second child was in the works, Cruise laughed, neither confirming or denying a second pregnancy for his wife, who bypassed interviews and walked straight into the premiere.
"Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" follows four agents, framed for the bombing of the Kremlin. The team must work under Ghost Protocol to clear their names, after being disavowed.
Actor Simon Pegg sprinkles his comedic relief throughout the film's action, but admits that he created quite a bit of laughs on the set.
"You know it was a laugh a minute, to the detriment of the film sometimes," Pegg told Reuters,
"Once, me, Jeremy and Paula were ejected from the studio for corpsing Tom, cause we were trying to do a scene and Tom couldn't hold it together and we couldn't stop laughing and they made us leave the set and then they made us leave the soundstage cause Tom could hear us giggling like 20 meters away, just. So it got a little mischievous at times."
The cast and crew marveled at the opportunity to work with the seasoned actor.
"Pretty much all of Tom's stunts, I look at and go, good thing that's Tom," Josh Holloway told Reuters.
One of the film's producer J.J. Abrams even insisted that he was missing the "fear gene". Other stars include Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and actor Michael Nyqvist.
After playing a hero in "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", Nyqvist admits he favors his villainous role in Ghost Protocol, as "more fun".
Audiences can catch the action flick on IMAX screens on limited release December 16, with the film's full release scheduled for December 21st. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
