She has some pretty mixed feelings about her special powers because they were also the thing that had people tormenting her and treating her poorly her entire life. Yes, there are some incredible perks that come along, like the magic fingers and stuff, but it's still pretty new for her so she still has some mixed feelings." That's been really nice because the two of us are friends and it's been really nice just hanging with him and giggling a lot." That bromance kind of develops and that's been a lot of fun shooting because it's been four years of Bill and Eric fighting over Sookie so it's fun to mix it up and do something different." He's really been a moral compass until now. But if you saw the end of last season, he's been pushed a bit far, so coming into this year, he's pissed and he's not going to take anybody's crap anymore. You're going to see this transition into him becoming the big bad wolf this year, which is really fun to play." JOE MANGANIELLO TALKING TO REPORTERS

- Story Text: Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard and Joe Manganiello hinted at the supernatural mayhem to come at the fifth season premiere of "True Blood" in Los Angeles on Wednesday (May 30).
The newest trailer for HBO's vampire drama is an action-packed clip revealing that vampire-human relations have broken down, and the newly-formed "bromance" of Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill (Stephen Moyer), have their work cut out for them.
"Eric, after a while, starts to enjoy Bill's company, and that's something that's totally new to Eric," explained Skarsgard of his character's developing relationship with fellow vampire, Bill. "That bromance kind of develops and that's been a lot of fun shooting because it's been four years of Bill and Eric fighting over Sookie so it's fun to mix it up and do something different."
Sookie (Anna Paquin) remains the center of it all, even if she doesn't want to be. Season three revealed that Sookie's hidden talents were attributed to her fairy lineage, which made her less than pleased.
"She said they were effing lame, actually," 29-year-old Paquin said. "She has some pretty mixed feelings about her special powers because they were also the thing that had people tormenting her and treating her poorly her entire life. Yes, there are some incredible perks that come along, like the magic fingers and stuff, but it's still pretty new for her."
Manganiello dished that his werewolf character Alcide takes a turn to the dark side after circumstances in season four leaves him "pissed."
"He chooses character over his own kind," Manganiello said. "He's really been a moral compass until now. But if you saw the end of last season, he's been pushed a bit far, so coming into this year, he's pissed and he's not going to take anybody's crap anymore. You're going to see this transition into him becoming the big bad wolf this year, which is really fun to play."
Paquin has been married to co-star, 42-year-old Moyer, since 2010. They are expecting their first child together in the fall.
Alan Ball, creator of "True Blood," will step down as showrunner after its fifth season, and Mark Hudis, co-executive producer, will take the reins.
