Actors Hugh Jackman, Fan Bingbing and Peter Dinklage were greeted by fans of the hugely successful series. Many were dressed as characters from the films, adapted from Marvel comic books.
Jackman, who plays popular superhero Wolverine, praised the production of the film and the all-star cast, which includes Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy and Halle Berry.
"Every day I got to work with incredible actors, like these two on the stage here, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, you may have heard of her, uh, Michael Fassbender, Nick Hoult, it was incredible, it's really the biggest X-Men movie we've ever made, the biggest cast, the action is incredible, the visual effects are amazing," he said on stage.
The 45-year old-Australian actor had a second cancerous skin growth removed from his nose last week, according to reports.
Jackman was joined on the blue carpet by Chinese co-actress Fan Bingbing, who plays teleporting superhero Blink, and American "Game of Thrones" actor Peter Dinklage, who plays the villainous Dr. Bolivar Trask.
In the action fantasy, directed by Bryan Singer, the X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a bid to change history and ensure the survival of both humans and mutants.
