- Story Text: South Korea and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding to realise $350 billion in strategic investments in various industries in the U.S., South Korea's Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan said at a briefing on Friday (November 14)
The two countries will complete the selection of investment plans by January 2029, Kim added.
Earlier in the day, South Korea's top presidential policy adviser, Kim Yong-beom, said that the United States has agreed to apply terms to South Korea for semiconductor tariffs that are no less favourable than for Taiwan.
Kim said that the two countries had also agreed that the timing of South Korea's funding to the U.S. for investment projects could be adjusted if necessary to ensure foreign exchange market stability.
