- Story Text: The annual meeting of the Superior Council of the Office for Co-operation in Broadcasting (Ocora) opened in Paris today.
The two-day conference is being attended by Information Ministers and executives of broadcasting and television organisations from 16 French-speaking African countries, and Madagascar.
The delegates to the Council meeting are to discuss OCORA'S aid programme.
OCORA was established to assist developing French-speaking African nations to utilities and develop their broadcasting and television facilities. It operates training schemes and provides technical information to member countries.
This is the fourth time the Superior Council of the organisation has met. The chairman at this year's meeting is M. Yvon Bourges, Secretary of State in charge of cooperation at the French Foreign Ministry.
