- Story Text: Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate Yodchanan Wongsawat told reporters that he felt “quite nervous” on “another colourful day for democracy” after casting his vote in the country's general election in Bangkok on Sunday (February 8).
Polls opened in Thailand on Sunday in a general election defined by a three-way battle between the country's conservative, progressive and populist camps, with no single party expected to secure a clear majority, prolonging the spectre of political instability.
Yodchanan arrived at the polling station with his wife, Nantakan. His mother, sister of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, was also seen casting her vote at the polling station.
