Fans gathered in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Sunday (February 8) at the bustling Distrito T-Mobile to celebrate local superstar Bad Bunny's historic Super Bowl halftime performance, which was widely praised as a landmark moment for Puerto Rican and Latino representation on a global stage.
"I've come to enjoy Benito's [Bad Bunny's] participation, which is going to be a complete success," said attendee Ivy Carcaña Jiménez. "We're incredibly proud of him because he's going to carry Puerto Rico's flag high on a global level." Local artist Emmy echoed the sentiment, stating, "I'm really proud of Bad Bunny and everything he has done for the community and for Puerto Rico as a whole."
The celebration at Distrito T-Mobile, located near the Puerto Rico Convention Center, featured live entertainment, including animators and dancing, as fans gathered to watch the game and halftime show on big screens. Fan Samuel Maldonado described the performance as groundbreaking: "It's a great representation of the entire Latino community, of all Latinos, where music has no borders. For me, this marks the history of Puerto Rico—and of all Latinos worldwide."
Attendees applauded the cultural emphasis of Bad Bunny's performance. "They took their time to create a strong representation, especially of our own culture," Maldonado added. "In the times we're living in, we have to come together as cultures and as Latino brothers and sisters." The event underscored the artist's impact, showcasing Puerto Rican pride while amplifying the voices of Latinos on a historic global stage.
