- Story Text: India and France symbolically opened an assembly line for the joint production of H125 helicopters on Tuesday (February 17), with French President Emmanuel Macron telling Prime Minister Narendra Modi Paris is “a trusted partner.”
Airbus praises its “multi-mission workhorse” as having "excellent visibility and low vibration levels in the cabin,” saying it had become "a common sight at heliports, hospital landing pads, police department operations centres and airports around the world."
Macron said during a ceremony in Mumbai that France knew "how to share the best technologies and also give priority to job creation in your country.”
India's Tata group and France's Airbus in 2024 signed an agreement to manufacture civilian helicopters together. Tata and Airbus are already cooperating to make the C-295 transport aircraft in Modi's home state of Gujarat.
