- Story Text: Mexico and Canada will present a joint action plan on minerals, infrastructure, and supply chains in the second half of the year, Mexico's Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Monday (February 16) after meeting with Canada's Minister of Trade, Dominic LeBlanc, in Mexico City.
He also said a delegation of Mexico's finance ministry will visit Canada to continue conversations, without providing a date.
The approach between Mexican and Canadian economic and trade authorities comes after Donald Trump's administration cast doubt on the continuity of the USMCA, a treaty to which the United States is a party along with the other two countries, and strained relations with both nations by imposing tariffs on their products.
