  • Story Text: Pedro Pascal's masked Star Wars hero makes his film debut in the new trailer for "The Mandalorian and Grogu" which released on Tuesday (February 17).
    The character was first introduced in the Disney+ series "The Mandalorian" that paired the titular bounty hunter with Grogu, a character popularly dubbed as "Baby Yoda" on the Internet.
    The duo return in the new film directed by "The Mandalorian" showrunner Jon Favreau with the ensemble cast also including Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White in pivotal roles.
    The trailer also revealed Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese in a cameo role as he voices a four-armed alien shopkeeper who is confronted by Pascal's protagonist.
    The film marks one of producer Kathleen Kennedy's last Star Wars projects before she stepped down as president of Disney's Lucasfilm this January.
    "The Mandalorian and Grogu" releases in cinemas on May 22.
