- Story Text:After a day of snow delays in Livigno, the snowy weather gave way to sunshine on Wednesday (February 18) morning, allowing for freestyle ski and snowboard events to resume.
Though the sun was out, temperatures plunged overnight with digital thermometers in the Alpine village registering a morning temperature of -12 Celsius (10 degrees Fahrenheit).
Heavy snowfall on Tuesday (February 17) led to the delay of several Olympic events during the day, including the women's snowboard slopestyle final and freestyle skiing aerials competitions.
By the evening, the snow had eased and the men's freestyle skiing big air final went ahead with only a slight delay.
The postponed women’s snowboard slopestyle final has been given the green light and will kick off at 2:30 p.m. local time (1330 GMT) following the men’s final which is slated for 11:20 a.m. (1020 GMT)
Aerials events will also go ahead with women’s qualifications starting at 10:45 a.m. (0945 GMT) and the medal event following at 1 p.m. (1200 GMT).
