- Story Text: What could be more perfect to start the day at the Winter Olympics in Italy than a cappuccino emblazoned with the Milano Cortina 2026 logo, or perhaps the beloved mascots Tina and Milo?
That is exactly what Livigno’s Tipo Cafe is serving up just steps from the slopes of the Livigno Snow Park where Olympic athletes are competing for gold in snowboard and freestyle ski events.
Though word of mouth has led some Olympic spectators to seek out the Olympic-themed java, others say they have been pleasantly surprised to get their cup of coffee with the special images which are printed onto the foam by a machine.
“Why not put together the Olympics and cappuccino in a place with mountains? Also, you need hot drinks and you need something that makes you happy, gives you energy,” the owner of Tipo Cafe, Teo Confortola, told Reuters during a busy morning rush on Wednesday (February 18).
Confortola said plenty of Olympic athletes have also come in for his famous cappuccino. He said Canada’s Megan Oldham, who took gold in the women’s freeski big air and bronze in the slopestyle, came in and he was able to print out an image of her with her gold medal onto a coffee.
“These are the special little things that you remember about the Olympics. It’s all of the grand events, but also it's the little treats and delights that is the Olympic Games,” said Doris Coleman who came from Australia to witness the Olympics.
