- Story Text: Harvey Weinstein was due to appear in New York state criminal court in Manhattan on Wednesday (February 25) for a hearing ahead of his third rape trial, where a trial date may be set. The hearing was later adjourned to March 4.
The hearing follows a June 2025 mistrial on a third-degree rape charge involving accuser Jessica Mann, after jurors failed to reach a verdict. Prosecutors immediately said they would retry the charge.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said the decision was made in consultation with Mann and emphasized the case centers on survivors.
Weinstein, 73, has pleaded not guilty and denies all allegations.
