- Story Text: Germany is flying out particularly vulnerable people including children, pregnant women and sick people from Riyadh and Muscat, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Monday (March 2), the third day of a U.S.-Israeli air war against Iran.
Wadephul said the German government would be providing transportation to its citizens, and if all else fails "fall back on the German Armed Forces if necessary".
Iran's actions have been a direct threat to the security of Germany and Europe he said. The ongoing war in Europe should not be forgotten, Wadephul warned.
The German government was positioning itself alongside "our close allies in Israel and the United States" in ensuring European security, he added.
