- Story Text:Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid visited a site that was hit by an Iranian missile in Beit Shemesh city in Israel on Monday (March 2).
The strike killed at least nine and wounded 28 others, Israel's ambulances service said.
When asked about the objectives of the Israeli operation, Lapid said it aims to create the conditions for the people of Iran to remove the current regime.
Israel launched a new wave of air attacks on Tehran on Sunday (March 1) and Iran responded with more missile barrages, a day after the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Iran retaliated with dozens of missile strikes, most of which were intercepted by air-defence systems.
