- Story Text: Spain's King Felipe met with Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz on Thursday (March 12) at the Quemado Palace in La Paz, as part of an official state visit to the South American nation.
Upon his arrival, King Felipe was received with full military honours by the presidential guard, which he inspected before entering the palace for talks with President Paz.
The two leaders later stepped out together onto the Plaza Murillo square, where King Felipe broke with royal protocol to speak with an elderly woman who approached to greet him. He also stopped to take photographs with children who rushed forward to embrace him.
