- Story Text: Singer Bruno Mars secured his first no.1 in over a decade on the Billboard 200 album chart on Sunday (March 8), when his new album "The Romantic" stormed straight to the top spot in the U.S. charts.
“The Romantic”, which was released on February 27, is the 40-year-old’s fourth studio album. It is a nine-track project with features his latest single and music video “Risk It All”, which was directed by the “Die With a Smile” singer and Daniel Ramos. Ramos is known for directing artists such as Mars, Lady Gaga and Rose of BLACKPINK. It also features the chart-topping hit “I Just Might”, which debuted at no.1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
According to a press release sent from the label, the album "earned 186,000 equivalent US album units.”
The “Just The Way You Are” singer will be embarking on a world tour called “The Romantic Tour”. It kicks off on April 10 in Las Vegas, United States, at the Allegiant Stadium. Other countries on the tour include Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Mexico.
Mars will be joined by frequent collaborator, singer, Anderson Paak under his DJing alter ego DJ Pee Wee. The two singers previously joined forces as the duo Silk Sonic with their 2021 album “An Evening with Silk Sonic.”
Additional guests include British singer Raye and U.S. singers Victoria Monet and Leon Thomas.
