- Story Text: Exports of eggs to the Middle East have dipped amid the ongoing Iran conflict, said dealers in India's southern Karnataka state on Friday (March 13).
The prices of the protein rich commodity have dropped sharply, generating huge losses for farmers and dealers alike.
If exports had continued normally, prices wouldn't have fallen this much, said a dealer.
The Indian egg export market generates millions of dollars worth revenue annually, according to media reports.
The U.S.-Israeli war on Iran is rattling businesses worldwide, driving up energy prices, squeezing supplies of critical raw materials and raising questions about the reliability of trade routes critical to the flow of goods from food to car parts. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
