- Story Text: Residents of a central Israeli community found their houses and vehicles damaged after they emerged from their shelters following an Iranian missile attack on Tuesday (March 17).
Matan Amitay, whose house was damaged in the attack, told Reuters that he was inside a safe room when he heard a loud explosion and after a few minutes, he stepped out to find his house covered in dust and debris, and a crater in the ground outside.
Israeli ambulance service MDA reported no casualties in the attack, but damages were reported in several sites in what the Israeli media said was a missile carrying a cluster warhead.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israel said the military had killed Iran's security chief Ali Larijani, widely seen as one of the most powerful figures in the country. There was no immediate confirmation from Tehran.
The U.S.-Israeli war on Iran is in its third week, with at least 2,000 people killed and no end in sight and no let-up in attacks by both sides.
